What Is Family Vision?
Family Vision is a way for two people to define what matters most in their shared life. It combines Values, Purpose, and Priorities into a clear framework for decision-making and alignment.
One of the biggest challenges in family life is simple to describe and hard to solve: two people can share a life without ever fully aligning on what matters most.
They may love each other deeply, make decisions together, and still carry different assumptions about retirement, parenting, generosity, success, or legacy.
That is why we built Family Vision.
We define it like this:
Family Vision = Values + Purpose + Priorities
Values are what matter most to both of you.
Purpose is your shared why.
Priorities are the areas that deserve your time and attention.

Why Family Vision Matters
Most couples do not avoid these conversations because they do not care. They avoid them because life is busy and the questions are big.
Family Vision creates structure around a conversation that many couples want to have, but rarely know how to begin.
It helps move beyond logistics and into meaning.
For many families, this builds on earlier reflection around individual values and purpose — often starting with Personal Vision before moving into a shared definition of what matters most.
What It Changes for Advisors and Families
For advisors, Family Vision creates a natural entry point into deeper conversations with both spouses. It reveals how a couple thinks, what they care about, and where alignment exists or needs work.
For families, it creates shared language. It makes decisions clearer and reduces assumptions.
We often reference a statistic: 80% of men die married and 80% of women die single.
The point is simple. Both perspectives matter.
Once that alignment is in place, families often find it easier to document important moments through Milestones or express what matters most through legacy letters.
Legacy is not built through assumptions. It is built through clarity and communication over time.
